Discussing his leisure time in Folkstone, which is taken up primarily by smoking and sleeping. Noting that he meets the publisher George Smith nearly every day and mentioning that [Alfred Sydney] Wigan is unable to produce Collins' first play "The Lighthouse" at Folkstone's Olympic theater. Mentioning Dickens and that the Queen and Albert have come to Folkstone to review the Foreign Leigon. Asking Ward to purchase several books for him.
